Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using smakotest.com ("the Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). The Site is operated by Signal Collective ("we", "us", "SMAKO™"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Site.

2. The Service

SMAKO™ provides a free taste personality test. You answer 24 questions about your flavour preferences and receive a SMAKO™ taste type (e.g., MISO) based on your responses. The test is for personal, non-commercial use. No food or drink expertise is required.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. By using the Site you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site is owned by Signal Collective and protected by intellectual property law. This includes:

• The SMAKO™ name, logo, and trademark.
• The 64 SMAKO™ type names, identities, and associated Flavor Spirit characters.
• The quiz questions, scoring methodology, and type system.
• All illustrations, images, copy, and design on the Site.

You may share your personal SMAKO™ type result on social media for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, adapt, or commercially exploit any SMAKO™ content without written permission.

5. No Warranties

The Site and the SMAKO™ type system are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that your type result perfectly predicts your taste preferences in every situation. The quiz is grounded in sensory science research but is not a medical or clinical assessment. Results are for informational and entertainment purposes.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Signal Collective shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Site or reliance on your SMAKO™ type result.

7. Email Communications

By submitting your email address through the Site, you consent to receive emails from SMAKO™ relating to your type result and product updates. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send. We will not send you unrelated commercial solicitations.

8. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose.
• Scrape, copy, or systematically extract content from the Site.
• Create derivative works from SMAKO™ content without permission.
• Misrepresent your SMAKO™ type result or impersonate another type to others.

9. Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Site or any part of it at any time. We may also update these Terms. Continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Signal Collective operates. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
